Helping Hands From Clarkson University!

Today was a very productive day indeed!  Students, actually our builders and programmers, have been working very hard to build and program their robot to meet the standards that their corporation has set for them.  This has been no easy task!  Building and programming can be a lot of fun, but there's also research, note taking, and documentation that needs to be completed as part of the Design Process of Engineering.  AND when the robot doesn't do what it's expected to do, then there's discussion and possibly tearing down of the robot.   This part of the process is not fun, but it's a great learning experience!
So, with the help of some amazing students from Clarkson today, our students were able to get some of the "kinks" out.  Below are some great pictures taken from today!

Monday, May 19th...

Students found out their positions today. The morning was spent working in their specialty areas while the afternoon was devoted to student corporations.

The corporations are focusing on the driving question:

How do we as a corporation, design a robot to provide agricultural tasks that can be marketed to farmers?

Amazing interviews!

The Agbotics Challenge has begun!  Student interviews began bright and early this morning. The students were professional, polite, and prepared for their Agbotics interviews which made choosing the successful candidates tough. The boards of each corporation (teachers) have been in closed-door discussions for most of the afternoon...discussion is expected to continue through most of the weekend, and jobs will be announced this Monday.
